Lucy Bronze named England women’s player of the year

Bronze made her senior debut for England in 2013, and has 140 caps.

She is also a two-time European champion and has played in 36 games across seven major tournaments, more than any other Lioness player in history.

As well as playing for her country Bronze also plays for Chelsea, although she has only made two appearances this season because of injury.

Following the Lionesses win against Spain in the Euros, Bronze revealed that she had played the tournament with a fractured leg.

Bronze has been named in the England squad for the upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Australia.
