NFL or Savannah Bananas? CBS announcers joke about Los Angeles Chargers uniforms vs. Indianapolis Colts
Those Los Angeles Chargers uniforms are … something.
The Chargers went with 90% yellow — bright yellow — unis against the Indianapolis Colts. CBS announcers Ian Eagle and J.J. Watt couldn’t avoid the issue midway through the first quarter.
“You want to talk about the debut of the all-gold Charger Power uniforms? First of its kind,” Eagle explained. “Worn by the Bolts as an homage to the legends of yesteryear. It does have a mustard feel to it.”
Then the jokes started.
“Eight minutes left in the first quarter and Savannah Bananas … the over-under was under that,” Watt said.
“I feel like I’m getting enough potasium to last the rest of the year,” Eagle said.
“I was half-joking when I asked Justin Herbert, ‘Does that make it easier or harder to find receivers?’ He said, ‘It has to make it easier.'”
