Bruins F Lindholm out multiple weeks after injury vs. Sabres

Boston Bruins forward Elias Lindholm will be out multiple weeks, head coach Marco Sturm announced Friday.
Sturm said Lindholm is undergoing an MRI Friday to determine the exact extent of his injury.
Lindholm left Thursday’s 4-3 overtime win over the Buffalo Sabres in the second period with a lower-body injury. He was hurt after a collision with Sabres forward Jordan Greenway at centre ice.
“Anytime you have to help him off the ice, it’s usually not a good sign,” Sturm said post-game.
Marco Sturm says Elias Lindholm is having an MRI today but is out for a few weeks.

The centre had 17 goals and 47 points in 82 games last season, the first of a seven-year, $54.25 million contract with the team. He carries a $7.75 million cap hit through the 2030-31 season.
The Bruins (6-7-0) will host the Carolina Hurricanes (7-3-0) on Saturday afternoon.
