Looking for something to do? The Stay Local events calendar publishes a list of nonprofit and community events Tuesdays and Fridays. Trunk-or-Treat/Mud Bog: Noon on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Ma and Pa’s Mud Bog, 2158 20 Mile Road, Barryton. Trunk-or-treat begins at noon. Last mud bog of the year begins at 1 p.m.

Fort Faith Fall Fest: 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Fort Faith Camp, 5005 210th Ave., Morley. Features hay rides, pumpkin carving, fall photo ops, mazes, barrel rides, carnival games, bounce houses, food truck, chatting around a warm fire with live music, a hot meal and a pie contest.
Harvest Festival: 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Sylvester Community Church, 4954 Spruce St, Mecosta. Features a trunk-or-treat, hot dogs, fresh cider press, popcorn, bonfire with s’mores, face painting and bounce house.
Reed City Glow Show Invitational: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Reed City High School, 199 W. Catherine Ave., Reed City. Local marching bands compete decked out in vibrant costumes and colorful lights. Participating is Baldwin, Big Rapids, Lake City, Ludington, Morley Stanwood and Pine River.

Community Scarecrow Competition: 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at Morley Community Center, 151 Seventh St., Morley. Scarecrow posts, clothes and stuffing provided. $20 entry ($15 if preregister by Oct. 10.). Also, decorate a pumpkin for $5 each. Search “Village of Morley Events Committee” on Facebook.
Trunk or Treat: 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at Northland Global Methodist Church, 6842 Northland Drive, Stanwood. Features a cozy bonfire with chili and s’mores, crafts, cookies, cider, and even a bounce house.

Cub Scout Pack 3114’s Halloween Party: 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Northend Riverside Park, North Fourth Avenue, Big Rapids: Boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to a night of games, snacks and a costume contest at Pack 3114’s Halloween recruitment party.
