It’s BKFC Fight Week!
The world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion makes its hugely anticipated return to Italy this week with BKFC 83 on Saturday in Rome, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.
In Saturday’s Main Event, Chris Camozzi defends his BKFC World Cruiserweight Championship against Italian combat sports legend Alessio “Legionarius” Sakara. Camozzi’s grandparents emigrated to the United States from Italy. Now representing Denver, the 19-time Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) vet Camozzi defends his crown for the second time after taking out Italian fighting superstar Andrea Bicchi in BKFC’s Italian debut in April. Sakara proudly represents Rome and is a 15-time UFC vet. He’s riding high after turning heads in his BKFC premiere in July, when he rolled through former BKFC headliner Erick Lozano.
Fireworks are guaranteed in Saturday’s Co-Main Event when the United Kingdom’s Ben “The Bomber” Bonner battles Franco Tenaglia. Bonner is coming off a Fight-of-the-Year battle with Tony Soto in their showdown for the BKFC Interim World Lightweight Title in June. Three of his four BKFC victories have come by stoppage, including two in the first round. The Argentinian-born Spain fighter Tenaglia is also 4-1 in the Squared Circle. As the stacked 155-pound division’s former World Champion, Tengalia’s impressive resume includes victories over Soto and James Lilley.
Francesco Ricchi meets Josef “The Berserker” Hala in the BKFC 83 Featured Fight. Ricchi is 7-2 in the Squared Circle, and is the only Italian-born World Champion in BKFC history. Hala, who hails from Czech Republic, is hungry to build on the momentum of his first-round finish in his BKFC debut at the organization’s Italian premiere.
Saturday’s action features a stacked offering of some of BKFC’s fastest rising fighters, like Andrea “Italian Thunder” Bicchi, James “Get Down” Brown, Dan “Indian Spice” Chapman, Nico “The Iron” Gaffie, Haze “The Huntsman” Hepi, Tomas Melis, Ernesto “Big 20” Papa, Walter Pugliesi, Jimmy “King” Sweeney, Carlos Trinidad-Snake, Karl “The Wasp” Thompson, Enzo “Osso Duro” Tobbia, Krzysztof Wisniewski and Jelle Zeegers, all LIVE globally on The BKFC App.
