Westlife to debut new single on special edition of The Late Late Show

Westlife are set to debut their new single on a special edition of The Late Late Show this Friday.
The boyband is set to play a massive 10 dates in Dublin’s 3Arena next year as part of their 25th anniversary tour, with Shane Filan, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne joining Patrick Kielty across two parts of Friday’s episode of the Late Late.
The lads will discuss their boyband beginnings and global stardom, as well as their upcoming new music, enduring success, and their bond with Irish fans. As well as this, they will treat viewers to a world exclusive of their latest single, Chariot, and a medley of their hits.

Joining Westlife on Friday night will be Imelda May, who’ll chat to Late Late host Patrick about her personal journey to reconnect with the Irish language, as part of her new series Imelda May: Amhráin na nGael.
The series will take viewers on a journey through the Gaeltacht regions, exploring Ireland’s rich cultural heritage through traditional music. Imelda will also speak about her excitement at hitting the road again for her upcoming tour and about turning her talent to film when she stars alongside Pierce Brosnan and Gabriel Byrne in Four Letters of Love.
Comedy legend and author Ben Elton will also drop in on Friday to reflect on his stellar career, including his work on Blackadder and The Young Ones. He’ll be chatting to Patrick about his life and times, working with Queen on the smash-hit musical We Will Rock You, and his long-standing, unrequited love for Emma Thompson. Yes, really.

Finally, actor Ruth Bradley will be speaking about her incredible ascent — from Love/Hate to Ted Lasso.
She’ll be discussing what it’s like working alongside legends of the screen including Gary Oldman and Kristin Scott Thomas, and why she’ll always have a special bond with her Love/Hate co-stars.
The Late Late Show will take place on Friday, October 24 at 9.35pm on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
