A This Morning presenter brought a segment to an abrupt halt on Monday (October 27) as he declared “I don’t want to talk about this” in frustration.
During the opening of today’s live programme, presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary were discussing the day’s major headlines with regular contributors Gyles Brandreth and Alison Phillips.
The discussion kicked off with coverage of Prince Andrew following recent claims that he has consented to vacate the 30-room Royal Lodge estate. But Gyles swiftly expressed his annoyance, declaring: “I don’t want to talk about this. I will, but I don’t want to.”
He continued: “The King today is going to the National Memorial Arboretum to open a monument remembering gay and lesbian soldiers killed in wars, reports Wales Online.
“This is an important event… That is what I want to be talking about, so I’m very frustrated.”
