Kate Garraway has revealed her children were left ‘furious’ over the Celebrity Traitors as she made an ‘obsessed’ admission.
The ITV star is a mother to Darcey and Billy, whose father is the former lobbyist and political adviser Derek Draper, who died aged 56 in 2024 after suffering long-lasting symptoms from coronavirus.
Wednesday night’s (October 15) edition of the new BBC series was an eventful one for Good Morning Britain presenter Kate.
After almost a week of waiting, viewers were unsure whether Kate or YouTuber Niko Omilana would be the first contestant sent home from the round table.
Despite the cliffhanger in the previous episode, Niko received over half the votes and revealed himself as a faithful before leaving the Scottish castle.
Traitors Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns and Alan Carr proceeded to murder Tom Daley, who was adamant that Kate was a traitor over her using the word ‘flabbergasted’ after Paloma Faith was murdered in plain sight.
Taking part in a challenge later in the episode, actress Ruth Codd joked that the hardest part of being stuck in Claudia Winkleman’s haunted cabin was Kate’s screaming, the presenter manged to overcome her co-stars’ suspicions.

In the second roundtable of the series, Kate wasn’t under interrogation like the night prior, with EastEnders actress Tameka Empson eventually sent home.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Thursday (October 16), Kate was quizzed about the series by her co-star Richard Madeley.
“Kate was telling me this morning that her kids were furious that she survived,” Richard said.
Kate went on to reveal that Darcey and Billy were ‘so angry’ that she avoided banishment due to them being ‘obsessed’ with Niko’s online videos.
“To be fair, can I just say to Darcey and Billy, I didn’t vote for him. I thought he was Faithful, he was a Faithful…
“I don’t have blood on my hands, but I did vote for Tameka and she was innocent,” she joked.
Meanwhile, Niko expressed his fears on spin-off show The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked that his fellow internet stars won’t be pleased with how he fared on the programme.
“I really do wish I was here about two weeks later, I mean someone had to go at the first roundtable. I’m going to be mocked for this for a long time by my friends.
“I was talking about a big game, you don’t understand. Now when they see my face it’s going to be embarrassing. I can’t even tell them what’s happened,” he said.
