Before his breakout season in the FBS for Ole Miss, Trinidad Chambliss had another breakout year in Division 2.
In 2024, Chambliss racked up 26 passing touchdowns and 25 rushing touchdowns for the Ferris State Bulldogs, en route to a D2 Championship title.
The Bulldogs went 14-1, defeating Central Oklahoma, Harding, Slippery Rock, and Valdosta State in the D2 playoffs.
Chambliss also led the Bulldogs to victory over their bitter rivals, Grand Valley State, in the 2025 Anchor-Bone Classic. FSU demolished the Lakers at Lubbers Stadium, winning 34-7, and Chambliss played a big part in that.
In spite of only passing for an efficient 114 yards and no touchdowns, Chambliss torched GVSU on the ground with 22 attempts for 122 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
