Bruce Willis’ wife makes heartbreaking confession – ‘It almost killed me’

Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis made a heartbreaking confession as she appeared on a wellness podcast.

The former model opened up about her journey as Bruce’s carer during a chat on the Make Time Wellness Podcast where she admitted that not dealing with her emotions around the Hollywood star’s illness and the pressures she faced becoming a carer “almost killed” her.

Emma, 47, became a full time caregiver for Bruce, 70, when he was tragically diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia early in 2023, after previously being diagnosed with aphasia in 2022.

She has spoken out about the struggles she has faced since then multiple times, providing fans with a candid insight into how the disease has changed their lives.

Emma said, “It’s really important, I think, as caregivers, to get your feelings out. I kept mine in for very long, and it almost killed me.

“It’s very important for caregivers, who usually are very isolated, they don’t really have a community, they haven’t figured that out yet, because they’re so consumed.

“Most have little to no support, so its very difficult for them to connect. I mean, I think that was like something beautiful that came out of covid, there’s a lot of online support groups, so that you be home, and be able to log in to a support group to be able to talk, connect, be able to get your feelings out, so that you’re not bottling it in.”

The post was captioned, “Caregivers are often isolated without vital support to help them navigate the path ahead of them. Fans then rushed to the comments section to show their support for Emma as one wrote, “Bruce must be so proud of you! We sure are! Thank you for giving a voice to the caregivers. And for raising to much awareness to this cause!”
