Amazon’s Jeff Bezos returning to Miami to speak at celebrity business forum

Jeff Bezos, an alum of Miami Palmetto Senior High School and one of the richest men in the world, will join the list of business leaders, celebrities, sports stars and political leaders at the 2025 America Business Forum this week in downtown Miami.

The Nov. 5 and Nov. 6 event at the Kaseya Center is in Miami and the United States for the first time.

The conference dates back to 2016 and is usually held in Punta del Este, Uruguay. The original purpose was to build a sort of leadership platform, bringing together people in business, politics and other fields, founder Ignacio Gonzalez said in an interview with the Miami Herald in October.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon and Blue Origin, to Miami for the America Business Forum,” Miami Mayor Francis Suarez said. “His presence underscores the global significance of this event, and we are so proud to have him take the stage as our closing keynote speaker.”

Bezos founded Amazon.com in 1994, and it’s now one of the world’s most valuable companies. He also founded aerospace company Blue Origin.

In 2021, he rode Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket above the Kármán line as part of the company’s first space tourism mission.

One year earlier, in 2020, Bezos founded the Bezos Earth Fund, a $10 billion commitment to fund scientists, NGOs, and others to drive climate and nature solutions. He also owns the Washington Post

Bezos is scheduled to speak at the Kaseya Center at 5:10 p.m. Nov. 6 to wrap up the two-day event. Tickets are still available for the America Business Forum, organizers say.

Miami Suarez, who attended last year’s event in Uruguay, has been a key backer and convinced several of the speakers to attend.

President Donald Trump, who Suarez invited when he went to the White House, will speak on Nov. 5.

Maria Corina Machado, who just won this year’s Nobel Peace Prize for years of fighting to restore democracy to her country, and Inter Miami and Argentine soccer star Lionel Messi also will speak.
