Lakers give update on status of Austin Reaves

On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will host Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in what should be a nice test for them. They have a four-game winning streak and a 6-2 record, which puts them in third place in the Western Conference, while the Spurs are in second place with a 5-1 mark.
Both Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves sat out L.A.’s 123-115 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday. Doncic is expected to return for Wednesday’s game, as he wasn’t on the team’s injury list. But Reaves, who is dealing with a groin ailment, will be unavailable once again.
In fact, according to head coach JJ Redick, Reaves may not play on Saturday when the Lakers face the Atlanta Hawks to start a five-game road trip.
Just days ago, with Doncic out due to a finger sprain and leg contusion, Reaves went for a career-high 51 points against the Sacramento Kings. One night later, he scored 41 points versus the Trail Blazers. However, he has shot a combined 23-of-60 in his last three games.
