TRNSMT festival in Glasgow brought forward to June for 2026

The 2025 edition was held from 11-13 July and featured 50 Cent, Biffy Clyro and Snow Patrol.

Other acts appearing over a weekend of sweltering temperatures included Fontaines DC, Wet Leg, the Script and Gracie Abrams.

Organisers did not provide any details on why the event is taking place earlier than usual.

Geoff Ellis, the festival director, said: “TRNSMT is always evolving and it’s all about giving fans, artists and the city the best possible experience.

“There is no better way to kick off summer than with an incredible weekend of live music and that unbeatable Scottish crowd.”

Next year will also see the Commonwealth Games taking place in Glasgow, though the dates for the sporting event would not have clashed with TRNSMT’s traditional slot.
