BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Happy first day of November! A front is moving across the region this afternoon, but most areas east of the Cascades are staying fairly dry.
A lot of the rain is evaporating before it reaches the ground. You could see a few sprinkles on your windshield at times, but most of us won’t see much measurable rain.
Temperatures have been mild today, but it’s been quite windy. A Wind Advisory remains in effect for parts of Central Oregon through 11pm. Southwest winds of 20-35mph with gusts up to 55mph are possible.
As we head into the overnight hours, temperatures will drop into 20s and 30s.
Daylight Saving Time is ending as clocks fall back one hour at 2am Sunday. This means we’re getting an extra hour of sleep, but sunsets will be noticeably earlier.
Tomorrow we cool back into the low to mid 50s. Sunday is looking dry, calmer, and mostly sunny.
After that, the pattern turns more active next week bringing multiple chances for rain. Snow levels will stay high, so we aren’t expecting travel impacts over the mountain passes at this time.
