Europeans dominating: Nikola Jokic records his third triple-double in three game

Nikola Jokic led his Nuggets to a second victory over the Timberwolves this season with 29 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists, continuing his streak of triple-doubles in every game so far. The Timberwolves played without the injured Anthony Edwards. Although Minnesota led in the first half, Denver’s dominant third quarter (45-29) and a calm final period secured the win. Jamal Murray also had an outstanding performance with 43 points, while Jaden McDaniels led the Timberwolves with 25 points.

European dominance continued in the Jazz vs. Suns game, where Lauri Markkanen scored 51 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, leading his team to a 138-134 overtime victory. The Jazz started stronger, the Suns caught up and forced overtime with a Mark Williams basket with 2 seconds left, but the Jazz ultimately prevailed.

The Bulls vs. Hawks matchup was highlighted by Nikola Vucevic and Kristaps Porzingis. Porzingis was the most efficient for the Hawks with 27 points, shooting an impressive 65% from the field.

The Spurs played their fourth game and recorded their fourth win, this time over the Toronto Raptors 121-103, with European players dominating once again. Victor Wembanyama led the way with 24 points and 15 rebounds in 24 minutes, shooting 7/8 from the field and 10/10 from the free-throw line.

The Portland Trail Blazers, led by Israeli star Deni Avdija, defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 122-108. Avdija scored 25 points with 4 rebounds and 4 assists, while Svi Mykhailiuk contributed 11 points and Jusuf Nurkic added 7 points and 13 rebounds. On the Lakers’ side, Austin Reaves scored 41 points.

Bosnian player Luka Garza was one of the top performers in the Boston Celtics’ 122-90 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Garza recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds, shooting an impressive 75% from the field (5/7), making him the team’s third-leading scorer. Nemeses Queta added 6 points and 11 rebounds for the Pelicans.

Alperen Şengun led the Rockets to their first victory of the season, defeating the Nets 137-109. The Turkish center recorded 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists in the game.

German center Isaiah Hartenstein had a double-double in the Thunder’s 101-94 win over the Mavericks, posting 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Franz Wagner scored 22 points with 4 rebounds and 4 assists in the Magic’s loss to the 76ers, while in Philadelphia, Adem Bona added 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Santi Aldama recorded 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in the Grizzlies’ loss to the Warriors.
