Search in Galway city for missing student

The search for a missing University of Galway student is continuing.
Searches intensified this afternoon.
Originally from Co Monaghan, Conor Harrington, aged 20, went missing last Wednesday, a week ago, around 9.20pm on or near the Salmon Weir Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge in Galway city.
The search continued today in the Galway Bay area.
A social media post by the group organising the search thanked those who had volunteered.
They called for more volunteers and said people should bring waterproof footwear and a hi-vis vests.
Oranmore Maree Coastal Search Unit, a voluntary group assisting Conor’s family, has thanked all those who are supporting them in the extensive search.
