Eagles Make WR Move After A.J. Brown Injury News Surfaces

A.J. Brown has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s Week 8 clash against the NFC East-rival New York Giants on Sunday as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury he suffered during Week 7’s win over the Minnesota Vikings.

With Brown out, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ offense are notably-thin at the wide receiver position. Aside from Brown and Devonta Smith, Philadelphia’s next-leading receivers are tight end Dallas Goedert and running back Saquan Barkley.

The Eagles’ next-leading wide receiver option is Jahan Dotson, who has just seven catches for 111 yards through the first seven games of the 2025 season.

Fortunately for the Philadelphia organization, they have could some help returning at the WR position in Week 8.

The Eagles have activated rookie wide receiver Darius Cooper from the injured reserve, elevating him to the 53-man roster ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Giants.

“It was a blessing to be back out there, practicing with my brothers, man,” Cooper said this week, via the Eagles’ official website. “That was just the main thing I was looking forward to, being out there with the team. It was a blessing to be out there.”
