Way worse weather ahead for Thursday, Friday and Halloween

After yet another sunny, enjoyable, seasonable afternoon across Central New York Wednesday, get set for noticeably worse weather to start at or before dawn Thursday.
Looking ahead to trick-or-treat time, it’s looking windy and raw with rain likely over portions of our area!
It’s part of our next weather makers:
Central New York’s next weather makers
As shown above, wet weather will return Thursday at or before dawn for many. While there are differences in our computer models on exact amounts of rain, it looks very likely that Thursday should essentially be a washout.
Considering that many places across Upstate New York have a moderate to severe drought, the rain incoming is actually good news, especially for those on well water and for the replenishing of the lack of rain we have seen this year.
Temperatures should only be in the 40s during the day Thursday. However, numbers will probably rise in the lower 50s for a while Thursday night.
There should be some on and off leftover showers Thursday evening. For a brief time late Thursday night into potentially parts of Friday morning, the weather will quiet down and dry out for several hours.
However, the system that is nearby will intensify. This will cause blustery westerly winds to increase for Friday into Friday evening, unfortunately just in time for Halloween.
It appears that we should have temperatures only in the lower or perhaps middle 40s during “trick-or-treat” time. However, with sustained/constant winds of 15-25 MPH with occasional gusts to 30-40 MPH, wind chills will likely be only in the lower to middle 30s.
At the same time, there will likely be a batch of wrap around from a strengthening system moving away and some lake effect rain as well redeveloping Friday afternoon. It looks very likely that precipitation should occur for many to all areas from Route 31 northward. It also seems likely that many parts of the immediate Central New York areas will most likely also see this, as well.
I should mention that on Friday night, it should be cold enough for snow for the Tug Hill Plateau and parts of the Adirondacks with a risk for a slushy accumulation.
With that in mind, you’ll need to dress appropriately:

This Halloween will be a stark contrast to last year’s when Syracuse hit a record high of 81 degrees!!!
While this Halloween looks poor, it is not the coldest, nor the snowiest:
