Firefighters rescue person clinging to I-90 Bridge in Lake Washington

SEATTLE — Rescuers jumped into action Monday morning when a person was spotted in Lake Washington on the north side of the Interstate 90 Bridge.
At 10:11 a.m., Seattle Fire Department (SFD) posted on X that there was a water rescue for a person in distress.
A Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) camera showed someone clinging to the side of the bridge.
At first, someone on the bridge threw a life ring to the person. Then, a boat with rescue swimmers arrived, located the victim, and pulled them into the boat,
Around 10:30 a.m., the SFD said the patient was on land and was being evaluated.
The spectacle almost brought eastbound traffic to a standstill.
The circumstances of how the person ended up in the lake are not yet known.
