Xfinity By Comcast Outage: Why Internet Went Down And When It’ll Be Restored In Your Area

Xfinity by Comcast internet service was restored on Sunday evening after a sudden nationwide outage that lasted for about 30 minutes. The disruption began around 7.30 pm Eastern Time and affected thousands of customers across the United States. The company has not yet released an official explanation for what caused the service interruption.
According to outage-tracking website DownDetector, reports of Wi-Fi and television service failures surged shortly after 7.45 pm, with users from several states reporting dropped connections and blank TV screens. The outage affected both residential and commercial users who rely on Xfinity by Comcast for internet and cable services.
Frustrated customers flooded social media to share their experiences and ask for updates. One user wrote, “Xfinity down again? I just want to watch football but can’t because of this outage.”
Another commented, “This is the third time in two months—why does this keep happening?”
Many others voiced similar complaints, saying the issue disrupted their streaming, work, and entertainment.
By around 8 pm, several users reported their internet services had started working again. However, as of now, Comcast has not provided an official statement or detailed the reason for the outage.
