‘Oh god!’: Delta’s wild US TV appearance

Delta Goodrem has made a surprise appearance on the new season of Netflix’s smash hit reality series Selling Sunset.
The beloved show follows the lives of elite real estate agents at The Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles, with an array of celebrities making appearances this year searching for multi-million dollar homes, including Tinashe, JoJo Siwa and, of course, Delta Goodrem, who arrives on-screen being labelled as “Australia’s princess”.
In a scene that looks camp right in the eye, reality star Chrishelle Staus invites Goodrem to test out the acoustics of the home by belting out a little song.

What follows is an awkward pause of silence before Goodrem realises she’s being forced to sing, and she lets out a little timid battle cry reminiscent of the iconic note from Wicked’s Defying Gravity.
As the pair explores the home, Goodrem confesses that she wants to set up a place for herself in Los Angeles permanently, hinting that she could be set to ditch Australia full-time in the future.
As the pair make their way to the walk-in closet, they spot some black handcuffs hanging off one of the clothes rails.
“Oh my god,” exclaims Goodrem as she picks them up. “You don’t see that everyday!”
Staus then laughs, and questions: “Should we have touched those?” and sends Goodrem into a spiral.
“Oh no!” she yells as she rushes to put them back down.
Meanwhile, the beloved Australian star looked like a picture-perfect bride when she walked down the aisle in June at her wedding to husband Matthew Copley.
Goodrem married Copley at a 12th-century cathedral in Malta, where he proposed, and wore three gowns by two of her favourite Australian designers over the course of the day.
“I always knew what I wanted my wedding dress to be,” she told Vogue.
“And I knew the perfect designer for it. Paul and I connected the second I got engaged, and we started working together immediately. I am very lucky I get to wear beautiful dresses as part of my job, so I wanted this one to feel super personal and very special.”
The resulting lace gown “was structured, yet still delicate and feminine”, Goodrem said.
“It was a statement piece, but a fairytale dress. The sweeping train and the tulle cathedral veil perfectly suited the style of the wedding and the surroundings.”
