Oasis fans in line ‘miss out on first song’

Oasis fans have complained of long lines outside Accor Stadium before the band’s first Sydney show. The British brothers are performing two shows in Sydney, one tonight, and one on Saturday.
A video from outside the venue shows large crowds as many wait patiently with lines appearing to stretch hundreds of metres.
One fan replied to the video uploaded to Instagram: “Security are probably checking for flares!”
“This is the usual situation in all venues nowadays …. Queue management is just royally f**ked,” said another.
A third commented: “Few people missing out on first song!”
Fans have been queuing since the early hours, and it’s caused brutal traffic jams on some of Sydney’s busiest roads.
Transport for NSW urged concertgoers to travel via public transport for free by using their concert ticket.
“Oasis fans have waited a long time for this sold-out reunion tour. With Oasis only playing Sydney and Melbourne shows on the Australian leg of their world tour, fans travelling locally and interstate are encouraged to plan their trip and consider the many public transport options available to get to and from Olympic Park each night,” Transport for NSW Coordinator-General Howard Collins said.
Organisers will be praying that the concert goes off better than the band’s time in Melbourne.
Liam Gallagher erupted in a foul mouthed-tirade after two flares were launched into the packed crowd at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium during the final song of the sold-out Oasis concert last Friday night.
“To the massive C**T who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne you are 1 seriously f**ked up individual and you will get yours trust me,” the singer said the morning after the Melbourne gig.
A Melbourne mum told news.com.au that about halfway through ‘Champagne Supernova’ she saw a flare go off and land with a flash among concertgoers before she saw a second flash do the same.
“Each time you saw this flash, it looked like a fire, and then it was contained fairly quickly,” Virginia, who attended the band’s debut Australian concert with her family, said.
“I was there with my 13 year-old daughter, so once that went off, I thought it was bad and thought we’ll just leave before the end of the song and try and get outside.”
The flares appeared to come from within the crowd, and while frontmen Noel and Liam Gallagher didn’t interrupt the song, it appears the incident did not go unnoticed by them.
“My husband thought Noel Gallagher looked worried. And then Liam like waggled his finger and went ‘naughty, naughty’,” she said.
“It was so packed, so packed in there. If you’re at the footy or the cricket there’s a bit more space to move around, but there … I hope people are okay.”
