WWE SmackDown Spoiler on Huge Cody Rhodes Feud

It appears the next professional wrestling rivalry for top “WWE SmackDown” star Cody Rhodes has been determined. Ahead of the Undisputed WWE Champion’s appearance on the blue brand, Bodyslam reports that Aleister Black will be the one to feud with Rhodes next. Black recently aligned with his real-life wife, Zelina, after turning heel.
At this time it’s unknown how Black will confront Rhodes to start their program. “The American Nightmare” is scheduled to address his recent successful title defense over Drew McIntyre at “Saturday Night’s Main Event.”
Rhodes’ most recent win over McIntyre didn’t take place without some controversy. McIntyre thinks he makes a case for a title rematch, as Rhodes spiked his head on the Undisputed WWE Championship with a DDT. The problem is, McIntyre is the one who brought the title in the ring, and he attempted to use it as a weapon when the referee took a bump.

Cody Rhodes’ Second Undisputed WWE Title Reign
Rhodes won back the Undisputed WWE Championship by defeating John Cena on night two of “SummerSlam 2025.” Since that win back in August, “The American Nightmare” has scored two successful title defenses over McIntyre. The first one took place at “WrestlePalooza,” followed by the aforementioned “Saturday Night’s Main Event” match.
With “The Scottish Warrior” now seemingly out of the picture, things could get interesting as far as rivalries for the top male prize on the “Friday Night SmackDown” brand are concerned. While Black is reportedly Rhodes’ next rival, he remains in a storyline with Damian Priest. Black threw a fireball in Priest’s face during the Oct. 10 episode of “Friday Night SmackDown.”
