(WJAR) — The Karen Read defense team filed a response to a wrongful death lawsuit brought on by the family of John O’Keefe.
She was previously acquitted of his killing earlier this year in her second murder trial.
The responses was filed this week, broken up to specific claims brought by the family of her ex-boyfriend.
“Ms. Read denies that she is liable to or responsible to the Plaintiffs, and request that the Court deny the specific remedy and relief, or any remedy or relief, that the Plaintiffs seek in this action,” wrote Read’s defense team in the filing.
The team denies or responds to more than 160 points in the filing.
Read’s lawyers contend that the complaint doesn’t have a claim for which relief can be granted.
