Amon-Ra St. Brown has that name all to himself for the Detroit Lions as one of the best wide receivers in football.
It’s a name that now seems commonplace solely because this NFL superstar has it, but obviously, it’s a bit uncommon.
He’s got brothers named like this, too, Equanimeous and Osiris. They’re all named after Egyptian gods.

Amon-Ra was the Egyptian sun god.
The Lions WR’s full name is actually Amon-Ra Julian Heru John St. Brown. Heru is the Egyptian sky god.
The “St.” part of their last name was added and wasn’t originally in this family’s last name.
Amon-Ra has said that his dad believes in the power of names, and so he gave his sons names that wield great strength and power.
It has certainly worked out just fine for Amon-Ra St. Brown.
