Malik Monk provides scoring punch off Sacramento bench

by Bruno Mulé | Kings Correspondent | Sat, Oct 25th 9:46am EDT

Malik Monk scored 20 points in just 21 minutes during Sacramento’s 105-104 win over Utah on Friday. He was highly efficient, shooting 7-of-14 from the field and draining 6-of-9 three-point attempts, while also contributing one rebound, three assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Fantasy Impact:

Monk appears to be embracing a sixth-man role for the Kings early this season. While arguably talented enough to start, the available opening is in the frontcourt, a position Monk doesn’t fit. Keegan Murray is expected to eventually claim that spot, leaving Monk as a key reserve. Despite coming off the bench, Monk has started the season productively and maintains fantasy value, particularly with his scoring and three-point contributions.
