Whoops! Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 devs just leaked a showcase for its new Endgame mode — here’s when it’s coming

We’re now officially one week away from the global release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the next entry in the fan-favorite Call of Duty sub-series and a direct sequel to 2024’s Black Ops 6. Despite fierce competition from the incredibly popular Battlefield 6, Black Ops 7 is still expected to stand tall as one of 2025’s highest-performing FPS titles on Xbox, PC, and PS5 — especially with Xbox Game Pass availability making it more accessible (though it will likely hurt sales as it did with its predecessor).

Though there definitely seems to be some Call of Duty fatigue in the gaming community due to consistent annual releases, Black Ops 7 is aiming to hold player interest with some modes and game types new to the franchise. One such experience is Endgame — an open-world PvE co-op mode that supports up to 32 players in solo or squad play.

We know Endgame will feature missions to complete, bosses to fight, loot to collect, and a risk-reward extraction mechanic in which you’ll lose everything if you don’t escape the map. We also know developers Treyarch and Raven Software plan to keep Endgame updated with new content updates over time.

However, we’ve seen little of the mode thus far, with things like details of its Avalon map or more specific elements of its gameplay still unknown. Thanks to a leak by Black Ops 7’s developers, though, we now know there’s a big showcase of Endgame coming soon. More specifically, it’s scheduled to drop on Monday, November 10 next week, just a few days ahead of Black Ops 7’s release date and launch times.

As spotted by the credible, well-known Call of Duty news source CharlieIntel on social media on Friday afternoon, publisher Activision accidentally posted a blog post meant to go live on Sunday, November 9 early.

The post was quickly taken down, but a screenshot of its contents reveal that it’s going to officially announce “a detailed overview” of Black Ops 7’s Campaign Endgame mode coming out on November 10, including a Dev Talk video as well as a Deep Dive Blog for fans to read through.

Notably, the leaked post also explains you’ll need to complete the first 11 campaign missions to unlock Endgame, and provides some context for the narrative premise of the mode itself.

“After completing the first 11 Co-op Campaign missions, players will unlock Endgame, tasking JSOC with exploring the vast landscapes of Avalon, dismantling The Guild’s remaining Command Centers while battling exposure zones leaking a mysterious toxin into the city,” the blog reads.

JSOC — Joint Special Operations Command — is the military organization players aided in Black Ops 2 and Black Ops: Cold War, while The Guild is a criminal faction that opposes it, and that eventually grew into a full-fledged company. Avalon is a fictional city in the Mediterranean where The Guild operates, and where JSOC forces clash with the faction.

Admittedly, I’m not really a Call of Duty fan at all, as I’ve never been a fan of its zippy movement, blazing-fast time-to-kill, and incredibly chaotic gameplay flow. But as someone who greatly enjoys PvE and co-op shooters, I have to admit that the idea of Endgame sounds pretty cool, and like something I’d definitely check out with my friends.

It alone wouldn’t get me to buy Black Ops 7 at its full $69.99 MSRP, but thankfully, I don’t have to since I’m a PC Game Pass subscriber, and will be able to play it through my membership on day one.
