Miami Dolphins Trade Minkah Fitzpatrick To The Dallas Cowboys

In America’s Game of The Week in NFL Week 8, the Dallas Cowboys got absolutely demolished by the Denver Broncos leading to them losing 44-24. The defense couldn’t stop anything from the Broncos, showing that the Cowboys continue to lack playmakers on that end of the ball as a whole, but specifically the safety unit.

The Cowboys were missing their top three safeties due to injury, and with Malik Hooker out with a toe injury, Donovan Wilson out with an elbow/shoulder injury and even Juanyeh Thomas who dealt with migraines, it led to the unit being extremely depleted.

With those injuries leaving just Markquese Bell and Alijah Clark, Denver was able to have ultimate success against the Cowboys in their downfield passing.

It is clear that that inconsistent communication and clear overall lack of talent on the backend can’t continue if the Cowboys want any shot at actually competing this year, and it is why Jerry Jones should be looking to make a trade for a safety at the NFL Trade Deadline. The safety he can look to trade for is Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Miami Dolphins Trade Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Dallas Cowboys

The Miami Dolphins were able to pick up their second victory of the season in Week 8 over the Atlanta Falcons. While the win provided promise, it shouldn’t give them false hope that they can actually fully be contenders this season.

Instead, the Dolphins should still look to be sellers at the NFL Trade Deadline to advance the team for the future, and one player they should be looking to trade is Minkah Fitzpatrick.

If Miami makes Minak Fitzpatrick available, he is the ideal safety candidate for the Cowboys to trade for.

While Minkah Fitzpatrick hasn’t necessarily been on the same elite level as he once was, he still provides better play than what Dallas has currently. So far this season in Miami, he has allowed just 10 receptions in coverage for 81 yards while having an interception and three pass breakups.

Over his eight seasons in the NFL, he has caused 32 pass breakups, and 21 interceptions. Between his skills and experience, he can be the leader the Cowboys need on the backend of their secondary.
