Firefighters are at the scene of a huge house fire next to a historic cinema in the riverside suburb of Indooroopilly.
Five crews have been called to the house – believed to be abandoned – next to the Eldorado cinema on Coonan Street.
Emergency services are currently evacuating an apartment building behind the blaze, on Riverside Terrace.

The first fire crews arrived at 2.20pm and found the house fully engulfed and posing a potential threat to surrounding buildings, including the cinema.
It was not known if anyone was inside the house. Paramedics and police are also in attendance.
Traffic was blocked off towards the river by a fire truck, according to someone at the scene.
