Navan Cancelled Until Tomorrow- But Festival Continues

Navan’s weekend racing Festival has succumbed to the relentless rain and the plan is to move today’s card to Monday and Sunday’s card to run as normal. Tomorrow card will be subject to an inspection to see if the track is safe to run. Up to yesterday the track was still holding up but the continued fall of rain and overnight storm has meant a temporary hold to the Navan Racing Festival.
Navan manager Ciaran Flynn quoted in The Racing Post earlier this morning: ‘’Unfortunately, the rain has been relentless and there are parts of the back straight waterlogged. “The forecast is for it to clear in a couple of hours so we are optimistic about racing on Sunday, but we will hold an inspection on Sunday morning ahead of our Troytown card. Today’s card will move to Monday with the same declarations.’’
