Who is the Packers kicker today? Lucas Havrisik update, Brandon McManus injury

Packers defensive end Lukas Van Ness talks about his return to practice
Green Bay Packers defensive end Lukas Van Ness talks about his recovery from a foot injury as he nears a return to the field.
The Green Bay Packers have a new kicker again today when they take the field against the New York Giants.
But it’s a familiar face.
Lucas Havrisik gets the call with Brandon McManus sidelined with a quad injury that he has battled for the last month.
Havrisik, signed by the Packers in October, looks to remain perfect on kicks after going 10 for 10 on kicks in two games.
Here’s the latest on the Packers’ kickers:
Who is kicking for the Packers today?
Lucas Havrisik is the Packers kicker against the Giants.
It will be his third start of the season filling in for McManus.
Lucas Havrisik kicker vs Giants
Havrisik joined the Packers last month when McManus injured his right quad ahead of the team’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 12.
He was 2 for 2 on field goals and 3 for 3 on extra points in his first game.
Havrisik remained the team’s kicker the next week against the Arizona Cardinals. And he remained perfect on kicks after making both of his field goals and all three of his extra points.
One of his field goals was a historic one.
His 61-yard field goal as time expired on the first half set a Packers record for longest field goal in team history.
The team kept Havrisik on the roster despite the return of McManus, who had struggled in his return.

Who is Lucas Havrisik?
Havrisik has been a revelation for the Packers.
He signed with the Packers after sitting out the 2024 season and was looking to get into teaching until Green Bay called him. The 26-year-old went undrafted in 2023 but became the Los Angeles Rams’ primary kicker in the second half of that season.
In nine games as a rookie for the Rams, Havrisik finished 15 of 20 on field goals and 19 of 22 on extra points.
He was in the Cleveland Browns training camp in 2024 before being released ahead of season. He didn’t kick again until he signed with the Packers off the street.
Havrisik kicked in college at Arizona.
Brandon McManus injury
McManus first landed on the injury report prior to the team’s game against the Bengals last month. He missed the next two games but then returned for the team’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 26.
He missed two field goals in the first half of that game, missed another in the team’s loss to the Carolina Panthers and then a desperation 64-yarder at the end of regulation last Monday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
McManus had not appeared on the injury report since returning from his injury until Saturday, Nov. 15, when he was listed as doubtful with the same injury.
McManus had been practicing over the last few weeks and he said he had been healthy.
Brandon McManus stats
McManus signed with the Packers midseason in 2024 and provided stability to a kicking unit that desperatelyneeded it.
It was a great partnership. He only missed one field goal during the regular season last year on a wet Lambeau Field.
The 2025 season hasn’t gone as well.
After signing a three-year contract extension in the offseason, McManus has missed six field goals in seven games (11 of 17 for 64.7%) and 16 of 17 on extra points. Some of that can be attributed to a shaky line on kicks but he also doesn’t have the accuracy, either.
It would be his worst field-goal percentage of his career.
He’s 8 for 8 on field goals 39 yards or shorter. But he’s just 3 of 9 on field goals 40 yards or more.
