Alix Earle Straps Into Barely-there Sandals for the GQ Men of the Year 2025

On Thursday night, Alix Earle was among an A-list group of celebrities who descended upon the storied Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles for the GQ Men of the Year 2025. Celebrating the event’s 30th anniversary, the theme was ’90s Hollywood Red Carpet, which the Gen Z social media star nodded to with a vintage Roberto Cavalli sequin dress. Her high-shine number was grounded by black strappy shoes, a fixture in Earle’s footwear lineup.

The “Dancing With the Stars” contestant chose a pair of barely-there sandals with a single front strap across the toes and a narrow ankle strap featuring a small buckle. With her foot mostly exposed, the silhouette was in step with the popular “naked sandal” look that’s had a strong grip on the fashion scene these past few years.

Oozing glamour, Earle modeled the archival number, which featured a sculpted bodice with a plunging neckline, accordion-style pleats, and a medley of black paillettes. Meanwhile, halter straps left the TikToker’s shoulders and upper back uncovered. Earle kept it simple on the jewelry front, accessorizing with a tiny diamond pendant necklace. She wore her hallmark blond hair in loose waves and glowed in a bombshell makeup look.
Earle has a track record of stepping out in an array of minimalist, barely-there heels. In fact, earlier this month, the podcast host was pictured en route to Funke in Beverly Hills, clad in Saint Laurent’s Missy sandals. With semi-sheer tulle straps, the designer pumps tapped into the mesh footwear trend. Although Earle seems to prefer understated footwear, she’s not afraid to shimmer, either, as evidenced by the crystal-embellished Saint Laurent pumps she wore at the American Music Awards 2025 this past spring.
