On Tuesday morning, as per the video shared by paparazzo Viral Bhayani on his Instagram handle, Palash’s sister Palak was seen arriving at the Mumbai hospital to check on her brother. She wore a long blue shirt, black leggings and white wedges, and walked straight inside without interacting with the paparazzi waiting outside. She quickly walked inside the hospital without interacting with the paparazzi.
Why was Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s wedding cancelled?
Smriti and Palash were ready to tie the knot on Sunday, November 23, but everything changed overnight due to a health issue involving Smriti’s father. With the family facing a serious situation, both sides agreed that the wedding could not continue. Smriti’s manager, Tuhin Mishra, confirmed that the cricketer did not want to continue with the wedding until her father recovered. He said, “Smriti is very clear that she wants her father to recover first and then resume the wedding. It has been indefinitely postponed.”
Palak Muchhal requests privacy
Palak also shared an official statement on Instagram. She wrote, “Due to Smriti’s father’s health, Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been put on hold. We would request you all to respect the privacy of the families during this sensitive time.”
Emotional stress impacted Palash’s health severely
As the families dealt with Smriti’s father’s sudden health scare, Palash became extremely emotional. His mother shared that he was very close to Smriti’s father and could not continue with the wedding rituals under such stress. In a chat with Hindustan Times, she said, “He cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated. They kept him in the hospital for four hours. He was given an IV drip, an ECG was done, and other tests were carried out. Everything came back normal, but he is under a lot of stress.”
