Friday Nights, Anzac Round, Strong Start at Suncorp – Brisbane Broncos 2026 Draw Released

The Broncos will play three of the first four games and six of the opening 12 rounds at Suncorp Stadium, giving members and fans plenty of opportunities to see their team live in the opening half of the 2026 season.

The NRL season kicks off on Friday, March 6, with the blockbuster Round 1 clash against the Penrith Panthers, before backing up at home against the Eels in Round 2.
A trip to Melbourne follows in Round 3 to face the Storm in a Grand Final rematch, before the Battle of Brisbane against the Dolphins returns to Suncorp Stadium in Round 4.
Easter Saturday will see the side travel down the M1 for another XXXX Derby with the Titans.
The home crowd will again be treated to one of the biggest games of the season in Round 6, when the Broncos host the North Queensland Cowboys under lights at home.
Meanwhile the Broncos will host a special Anzac Round game against the Bulldogs, in Round 8 on Anzac Day Eve at Suncorp.
Two NRL & NRLW double headers have been locked in, for July 4 (Round 18), and August 15 (Round 24).
Key Breakdowns
The 2026 fixture includes five Friday night games, two Thursday night fixtures, four Saturday nights and one Sunday afternoon match, as well as the Magic Round clash against the Warriors at Suncorp Stadium in the Sunday 4pm timeslot.
Across the season, the Broncos will meet eight opponents twice – the Bulldogs, Cowboys, Dolphins, Panthers, Roosters, Storm, Titans and Warriors, setting up a series of fierce rivalry encounters.
Brisbane’s schedule features 16 turnarounds of seven or more days, six of six days, and just one short turnaround, giving the side consistent recovery and preparation time.
The team will travel 15,833km through the regular season, below the NRL average of 24,776km, with no trip across the ditch to New Zealand due to the Magic Round away game.
The side will travel to Sydney, Melbourne, Townsville and Canberra, but won’t play the Eels, Knights or Sharks away.
The Broncos also benefit from well-placed byes during the State of Origin period, with a bye before Origin 1 and further breaks following Origin 2 and 3.
Preseason Trials
The Club won’t feature in the NRL Witzer Pre-Season Challenge, with the side to travel to Hull, England for the World Club Challenge match on February 19.
Players not making the trip will feature in two unofficial trial matches, against new affiliate club Sunshine Coast Falcons on Saturday, February 14 at 7pm at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
It’ll be followed by a clash with Brisbane-based affiliate Souths Logan on Sunday, February 22 at 2pm at Davies Park.

World Club Challenge Members Presale will go on sale today at 2pm (QLD time), giving Members first access to secure their spot for the international blockbuster in Hull.
General Public Tickets will go on sale in February.
NRLW 2026 Fixture
The Broncos NRLW side will play five home games in Brisbane in 2026, two at Suncorp Stadium and three at Totally Workwear Stadium.
The season opener at Suncorp delivers a Queensland derby against the Cowboys on July 4, in one of two NRL/NRLW double headers – the other against the Roosters in a Grand Final rematch on August 15.
The team will play the Tigers, Knights and newly returned side, the Warriors at Totally Workwear and will travel to Sydney, Wagga Wagga (Magic Round), Canberra and Wollongong.
All Stars
Meanwhile the Harvey Norman All Stars will return to New Zealand in 2026, making it only the second time the concept has been played outside Australia.
It’ll be held in Hamilton on Sunday, February 15, along with the Māori and Indigenous Touch Football teams.
