Cole Caufield posted one assist in the Canadiens’ 8-4 loss to the Capitals Thursday night.

Caufield continues a solid stretch in the offensive zone, recording points in eight of his last 12 games (eight goals, five assists) for the Canadiens. The 24-year-old continues to provide head coach Martin St. Louis with one of the few reliable offensive options as part of an underperforming Montreal lineup, carrying a 1.05 point per game average (13 goals, eight assists) in 20 games so far this season.
