Addenbrooke’s Hospital fire LIVE: Huge multi-storey blaze at Cambridge car park

A multi-vehicle fire has erupted at the car park of a hospital in Cambridge as emergency services respond. A number of road closures are in place around Addenbrooke’s Hospital and people are being urged to avoid the area.
Cambridge Police said in a post on X at 4.49pm: “Due to a Fire in the vicinity/surrounding Addenbrookes Hospital Carpark one, access is currently limited/restricted.
The following road closures are in place Robinson Way, Puddicombe Way, Adrian Way, Richard Howe Way. Please avoid the area if at all possible.”
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service adds “We are currently responding to a fire involving multiple vehicles on the second floor of car park one at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
“More than 30 firefighters are at the scene, including from neighbouring fire and rescue services, and other specialist vehicles are in attendance.”
