Jason Momoa’s Lobo Arrives In New DC Milly Alcock Supergirl Concept Trailer

Supergirl is DC’s biggest movie of 2026, and while fans patiently await the arrival of the film’s first official trailer, a new Supergirl concept trailer showcases what could be waiting for the Woman of Tomorrow. Milly Alcock made her debut as Kara Zor-El in James Gunn’s Superman movie. Her role was brief, serving to set up Supergirl’s upcoming solo movie.

At the end of Superman, the movie revealed that Krypto was Supergirl’s dog, with the Girl of Steel showing up drunk at the Fortress of Solitude to take Krypto with her. The Superdog is key to the story of the Supergirl movie, as Krypto, being in a near-death state, gets the plot up and running.

On YouTube, Screen Culture shared a Supergirl concept trailer that imagines Lobo and Brainiac joining James Gunn’s DC Universe.

The DC fan trailer uses scenes of different projects to evoke the tone that Supergirl is going for. Brainiac is presented as the ultimate villain, with Alcock’s Supergirl standing up to him. Jason Momoa also appears as Lobo, leaving his DCEU role as Aquaman behind in the fast-paced footage.

Given that the fan trailer bears no connection to the DC Universe, fans can take it as a concept of what the tone and visuals of Supergirl, which is going to be a major cosmic adventure based on the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comics, could look like. It is due to that comic book connection that the fan trailer’s use of Brainiac is intriguing.

While Brainiac will soon join the DCU as the reported main villain of David Corenswet’s Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, the character is not present in the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comics. As such, Krem of the Yellow Hills, who occupies that role in the comics, will also be serving as the main villain of the film, with actor Matthias Schoenaerts in the role.

That said, Brainiac could end up appearing in Supergirl, albeit in a smaller role. After all, Lobo was also not part of the comics, but Jason Momoa is returning to DC to play the cosmic bounty hunter. Given that Brainiac will be the main villain of the Superman sequel a year later, the character could make a cameo appearance to set it up.

Rumors of the first official Supergirl trailer have been ramping up in the past few weeks. With the recent creation of official social media accounts and a website for the film, it seems like the Supergirl trailer’s release is close. Given that Avengers: Doomsday‘s first trailer will reportedly release in theaters with Avatar: Fire and Ash, so could Supergirl‘s.
