First Alert Weather Forecast: Clouds & Some Rain Today; Cooler Weather Returns

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A cold front is expected to bring rainfall and gusty winds to our area today, and Cooler Temperatures in the 60s and 40s are forecasted for Wednesday.

  • Tuesday Night: Turning cooler with some leftover clouds overnight. Lows around 50.
  • Wednesday: Mostly sunny, cooler, and not as humid. Highs in the upper 60s.
  • Extended: A bit warmer with a mix of sun & clouds Thursday. The next weather system brings in another chance of rain as we head into the weekend.

Expect a sunnier Wednesday as drier air settles in across our area. It will be cooler and less humid with highs in the upper 60s, followed by lows in the low/mid 40s overnight.

For the weekend, our best chance of rain comes Saturday as the weather system from the other side of the Gulf moves across northern Florida. Expect showers and possibly a thunderstorm. The air begins to slowly dry out as rain chances diminish for Sunday.
