Richo didn’t make Hawke or Keating. He just took the credit

Having read what I have of Graham Richardson obituaries and assessment, I have seen so many writers give Richo credit for making Bob Hawke leader, then Paul Keating prime minister.

I have a question. Did John Button actually exist? Did he live among us and serve in the Senate?
