Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim will hope his team can build on Sunday’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace when they host West Ham United this evening.

The Reds will move to fifth in the Premier League table with three points at Old Trafford after Liverpool and Palace moved above them in the table on Wednesday night. However, United are sweating over the fitness of two players.

Amorim confirmed in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday that two players could be forced to miss the game. Despite naming Benjamin Sesko and Harry Maguire as definite absentees, the United head coach admitted that he may have to tweak his game plan against the Hammers due to the two unnamed injury concerns.

“We have two doubts for the game,” he said. “I will not tell you today because it will change the way we are going to approach so let’s see if they can play tomorrow, but the rest of the squad is good.”

Fortunately, Matheus Cunha is back in the squad after a two-match absence. “Matheus is back but I have two players who maybe they cannot play. Harry Maguire is still out and Sesko [too].”

It isn’t yet clear who the two players are, but concerns have emerged on social media that one of them could be Bruno Fernandes. The United captain has been a mainstay in Amorim’s midfield and has only missed two league games in the Portuguese’s tenure.

However, in the win at Selhurst Park over the weekend, Fernandes was spotted clutching his left hamstring in the early stages of injury time. He did play the rest of the game before the full-time whistle went.

All eyes will be on who the two players are who will miss out when the team news is announced.

With that being said, MEN Sport predicts the 20-man squad Amorim will name on Thursday night;

Goalkeepers: Senne Lammens, Altay Bayindir

Defenders: Luke Shaw, Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Patrick Dorgu, Noussair Mazraoui, Ayden Heaven, Tyrell Malacia.

Midfielders: Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Mason Mount, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Shea Lacey

Attackers: Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Joshua Zirkzee
