No surprise, but Packers WR Jayden Reed expected to make return vs. Bears

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed, who was activated off injured reserve on Saturday, is expected to make his return from collarbone and foot injuries and play against the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The Packers listed Reed as questionable to play on the final injury report released Friday. His activation off injured reserve on Saturday was a clear sign the Packers viewed Reed as ready to play Sunday.
Reed has missed the Packers’ last 10 games after breaking his collarbone in the first quarter of Week 2 on Sept. 11. He had surgery to correct the clavicle fracture and a fracture in his foot suffered during training camp.
Reed has been practicing with the Packers since having his 21-day window opened on Friday, Nov. 21. The Packers could have waited until next Friday to activate Reed, but he’s good to go for Week 14 and will give the passing game a playmaking threat against the rival Bears in a high stakes NFC North showdown.
Reed caught three passes for 45 yards and a touchdown during the first five quarters of the 2025 season. He led the Packers with 64 catches for 793 yards in 2023 and 55 catches for 857 yards in 2024.
Reed is the Packers’ preferred player in the slot. Last season, Reed played 75 percent of his snaps in the slot and gained almost 400 yards after the catch. He also averaged 2.20 yards per route run and 15.6 yards per catch.
Inactives are due for the Packers and Bears on Sunday around 2:55 p.m. CT. The Packers ruled out defensive end Lukas Van Ness, receiver Savion Williams, running back MarShawn Lloyd and defensive end Collin Oliver and placed defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt on injured reserve. Reed, receiver Matthew Golden, cornerback Nate Hobbs and defensive back Javon Bullard are questionable.
