Macquarie makes $11.6b bid for logistics group Qube

Qube has entered exclusive talks with Macquarie Asset Management after receiving a $5.20-a-share indicative takeover proposal valuing the logistics group at $11.6 billion.

Macquarie’s cash offer represents a 27.8 per cent premium to Qube’s closing share price on Friday and follows an earlier unsolicited bid at a lower price. The parties have signed an agreement which grants Macquarie access to exclusive due diligence until February 1.
