Gia Volski – Putin’s participation in the forum does not mean that Irakli Kobakhidze should not meet with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, he does not need to justify himself – the Prime Minister has gone to where Georgia’s future is being decided

If Putin is participating in the forum, this does not mean that the Georgian Prime Minister should not meet with the Azerbaijani Prime Minister. He does not need to justify himself. The Prime Minister has gone where Georgia’s future is being decided and planned, – the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Gia Volski, told journalists.
According to him, the forum taking place in Turkmenistan is of special importance for us.
As Volski noted, our territories are occupied and everyone knows very well who the occupier is.
“The Ashgabat meeting is of special importance for us. If we say occupation, of course, everyone knows who the occupier is. Georgia is the only country that does not have diplomatic relations with Russia. There is no need to justify ourselves, that is precisely why the Prime Minister has gone, where Georgia’s future is being decided and planned. If Putin is involved in this, this does not mean that the Prime Minister should not meet with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan. If we have complaints about Turkmenistan or the style of governance, this does not mean that we should not be guided by our interests when we see examples of this. If we cooperate with China, this does not mean that we should follow the criticism of Europe when they themselves come to China and sign useless agreements. So, it is a pity that our territories are occupied, everyone knows very well who the occupier is. All resolutions, including the last one, the resolution that was passed at the UN was passed with our signature. It is true that it was about Ukraine, but we have not changed our positions. If you want the Prime Minister to come out and say the same thing as some “Akatsuki” on the street, such things do not happen. Such things do not happen at meetings of this level. If you think that without meetings and forums, Georgia can have some perspective in the future, not only are you very wrong, but I think you still have propaganda interests and nothing more,” Volski said.
For information, the International Year of Peace and Trust Forum is being held in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, on December 11-12, in connection with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.
The event is being attended by the presidents of Turkmenistan, Russia, Turkey, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran and Iraq, as well as the prime ministers of Azerbaijan, Hungary, Georgia and Pakistan.
