A new game has just begun: Squid Game: The Challenge is back for Season 2, streaming now. Over the three-week event, the players will be tested like never before in games both new and familiar until the group is whittled down to a sole victor — one ink explosion at a time. While a bag of marbles, flying stone, or gift box wrapped in a pink bow can all seal someone’s fate, the biggest threat in this game just might be the player sleeping right beside you.
So who are they? The 456 players entering the game in Season 2 come from around the globe — from Mexico to England and Japan to the United Arab Emirates — each with a story of their own. They range in age from 21 to 77 and include more than a few nurses, bartenders, an NFL cheerleader, a retired bomb technician, a Dairy Queen owner, a lobster fisherman, and even Robert Pattinson’s stunt double in Twilight.
