NU hosts ‘Truck-or-Treat’ on Halloween eve

In the shadow of stadium construction, dozens of kids flocked to Ryan Field’s parking lot Thursday for a ‘Truck-or-Treat’ hosted by Northwestern University on Halloween eve.
The parking lot was filled with construction equipment, buses, dump trucks, police cars, tail-gating games and plenty of candy.
Northwestern said it forecast about 1,000 community members would participate in the event Thursday afternoon.

At it, you can see firetrucks, police cars, construction vehicles and other “unique modes of transportation,” the city said.
Official Trick-or-Treat hours in Evanston Friday are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
