Kalinskaya vs Mboko Prediction

Kalinskaya has had limited success on hard courts in her career, reaching two Tour-level finals. Overall, she has a hard-court title on the Challenger Tour, winning the Midland Classic with a win over Jana Fett in the final.

Mboko has just started her Tour-level career and has already achieved huge success by winning a hard-court WTA 1000 title, with wins over former Major champions like Sofia Kenin, Coco Gauff and Elena Rybakina, and then defeating Naomi Osaka in the final. The Canadian has also achieved hard-court success at the ITF level, winning seven titles from nine finals on the surface.

Kalinskaya has been solid behind her serving at Hong Kong so far, winning 71% of her first serve points, but has had an underpar (38%) win rate behind her second serve. Upon her return, she has achieved a 75% breakpoint conversion rate. She has been broken only once. Meanwhile, Mboko had to play two three-setters in the competition so far, with her 56% break point conversion rate being one of her key factors in her victories.

Mboko might have had better form throughout the season, but Kalinskaya has been playing more reliable tennis currently and will be the slight favorite in the upcoming match.

Pick- Kalinskaya to win in three sets.
