Trail Blazers at Lakers picks and predictions
Prediction
Trail Blazers 113, Lakers 107
PASS.
While not by a lot, the spread, which is only 2.5 points, has better value on the Trail Blazers (-145).
BET TRAIL BLAZERS -2.5 (-110).
With a fully healthy roster, the Lakers would be the easy favorites in this matchup, but without Doncic and James, among others, their roster looks much different. Sunday’s win over the Kings took a herculean effort from Reaves, which should not be expected again, coming into the second game of a back-to-back.
The Trail Blazers have the clear advantage, playing in Los Angeles on Sunday night as opposed to the Lakers, who had to travel home from Sacramento, even though they, too, are not at full strength due to injury.
BET UNDER 227.5 (-115).
With both teams dealing with injuries while also playing on the back half of back-to-backs, the Under has solid value.
The Trail Blazers have scored 114 or fewer points in 2 of their 3 games while hitting the Under for the first time on Sunday.
The Lakers relied on a historic performance from Reaves to hit the Over on Sunday, while the same should not be expected on Monday. A slower pace brought on by the Blazers will help the Under.
