Chris Evans’ father-in-law appeared to reveal the actor’s baby news months before the “Captain America” star welcomed his first child with his wife, Alba Baptista.
Fans believed the star would soon be a father after Alba’s dad, Luiz Baptista, responded to an Instagram fan account’s post wishing him and Chris’ father, G. Roberts Evans III, a “Happy Father’s Day” in June.
“Many thanks dear Chris. Your turn is coming!” Luiz commented at the time, per an X post.

“Happy Father’s Day to Bob Evans and Luiz Baptista,” the original post, which featured a side-by-side display of throwback photos with both patriarchs, read.
“Thank you for helping bring two amazing human beings into the world. And happy father’s day to y’all!”
Evans, 44, and Baptista welcomed their first child together on Saturday in Massachusetts, TMZ reported on Tuesday.

The infant’s sex and name was not included in the report.
The Marvel star tied the knot with Baptista, 28, in 2023 with two separate wedding ceremonies in Portugal and Massachusetts.
While the pair has typically remained quiet about their romance, Evans previously revealed he proposed to his now-wife in Portugese, which is her native language.

“She’s Portuguese, so I learned how to say ‘Will you marry me?’ in Portuguese. I had practiced it all week,” he said in June.
“I got really nervous when it came time to do it,” Evans admitted. “I actually think I screwed it up, but I still know it.”
The two stars went public with their relationship in 2022. However, it remains unclear as to when the actors started dating.
