Everton have already seen summer signing lose more than half his value, it was the wrong move

Everton made some solid summer signings in their new Hill Dickinson Era under David Moyes, but one new star has seen his value more than half in what has been a slow start to life on Merseyside.
Everton bid farewell to Goodison Park after 133 years at the end of last season, with a new stadium and new ownership in The Friedkin Group offering them hope for a brighter future.
David Moyes brought in the likes of Jack Grealish, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carlos Alcaraz to the club to help out in an attacking sense, and they’ve impressed so far in the Premier League.

However, the signing of youngster Tyler Dibling, although rated highly, has seen him struggle for minutes thanks to Iliman Ndiaye’s form. And a report has seen his value plummet after a lack of game time, proving it to be the wrong move.

Tyler Dibling’s value has plummeted after a lack of game time
Tyler Dibling joined Everton from Southampton over the summer for a fee of around £40million including add-ons, having excelled at the Saints in an otherwise poor Premier League campaign.
However, with Iliman Ndiaye being Everton’s best player so far this season, he’s had to contend with minutes on the bench.
Only making his debut in the fifth game of Everton’s league campaign, Dibling has featured in just four Premier League matches, with his longest stint being the second half against Crystal Palace where Everton won 2-1 against the Eagles.
Otherwise, it’s been Carabao Cup games where Dibling has been utilised, but with Everton out of the competition, he hasn’t played more than five minutes since the start of last month.

With that in mind, the report by CIES Football Observatory has produced an updated list of the most valuable youngsters in the Premier League.
Chelsea talent Estevao tops the standings, valued at £103million, whilst Arsenal academy duo Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly make up the podium.
But Dibling is way down the list, only being valued at £16.6million.
His £40million move was much less than Southampton would have wished for financially, but with just 157 minutes so far, it was the wrong move from the Toffees.

Everton should have spent the Tyler Dibling money elsewhere
Everton stole ahead of other clubs to sign Tyler Dibling, and in the long-term, one would assume that their investment will pay off.
But there are other areas of the pitch that the Toffees remain short in. They are still being forced to play natural centre-back Jake O’Brien at right-back, whilst other defensive and midfield issues pose themselves weekly.
The £40million used to sign Dibling as a backup for Ndiaye could have been used elsewhere, making Everton a more balanced outfit and challenging the top-half.
It’s an error on The Friedkin Group so far, and with Ndiaye starring, there will be question marks given Everton’s poor form, where they have won just one of their last seven Premier League games.
