Mitchell goes to Jets as part of Gardner deal
Along with two first-round picks, wide receiver AD Mitchell will also head to the New York Jets in the Sauce Gardner trade.
Mitchell, 23, is in his second season out of Texas after being taken with the 52nd overall selection of the 2024 NFL Draft.
In eight games this season, Mitchell has nine receptions for 152 yards.

Seahawks grab Shaheed from Saints
We mentioned Rashid Shaheed earlier as a potential fit for the Buffalo Bills, but the speedy wideout is staying in the NFC with the Seattle Seahawks.
A fourth-round pick and a sixth-round selection will go the other way.
The deal reunites Shaheed with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.

Colts acquire Gardner in blockbuster
Holy hell. Sauce Gardner is headed to the Indianapolis Colts for two first-round picks.
The 25-year-old cornerback is a two-time All-Pro and is under team control for five more seasons.

Jags land Meyers from Raiders
Jakobi Meyers finally has his wish: He is an ex-member of the Las Vegas Raiders and on his way to the Jacksonville Jaguars, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

Going back the other way is a pair of picks, a fourth rounder and a sixth rounder.
Meyers, 28, is in his sixth season and was in his third campaign with the Raiders. He had previously asked for a trade from the organization. In seven games this season, Meyers has hauled in 33 receptions for 352 yards.
A product of North Carolina State, Meyers spent the first three seasons of his career with the New England Patriots.
Steelers add MVS to practice squad

Valdes-Scantling, 31, spent the first four seasons of his career with Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The St. Petersburg, FL native went on to win a pair of Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs and most recently spent time with the Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers.
In five games with the Niners this season, Valdes-Scantling recorded 40 yards on four receptions.

Bills ready to move?
The Buffalo Bills made an eyebrow-raising move on Monday evening when they restructured the contract of cornerback Taron Johnson in a deal that freed up roughly $1.75 million in cap room.
The Bills restructured the contract of CB Taron Johnson by converting base salary into a signing bonus, a move that created an extra $1.75M in salary cap space.

That’s not normally the kind of move made in-season unless there was a particular reason for doing so. The 6-2 Bills head into the deadline with a number of positions that could use addressing as the team deals several key injuries. Among the places general manager Brandon Beane could choose to buttress are at wide receiver, in the secondary and defensive tackle. Whether or not anything can be done prior to the deadline remains to be seen.
Among the names attached to the Bills in recent weeks has been New Orleans Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed. The speedy Shaheed is believed to be available with the Saints reportedly seeking something in the range of a third-round pick as compensation.

Deals already done
There have been a number of trades consummated over the past few days with the most recent being the Dallas Cowboys’ acquisition of linebacker Logan Wilson from the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2027.
The team that has been the most active is the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, having brought in corners Michael Carter II and Jaire Alexander and linebacker Jaelan Phillips in a trio of trades with the New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins, respectively.
Another team to watch on Tuesday is the Dolphins, who parted ways with GM Chris Grier on Sunday. Champ Kelly has taken over in the interim and could look to accrue draft assets in deals for EDGE Bradley Chubb, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick or even wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
